I took a trip out to Colorado this summer and had the pleasure of playing the Thunderhead Disc Golf Course in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The course is laid out amongst the Steamboat Ski slopes and provides some breathtaking views of the area. The tee pads are rudimentary to say the least, and many of the baskets are temporary in nature, but the views and natural beauty of the area far outweigh the negatives. It’s an 18 hole course with several elevation changes. My personal favorite basket by far was 18, it’s 100 foot drop down to the basket which lies 338 feet from the pad. It was my one birdie of the day so I might be a little partial.
